The Course Notes are available at this link. We expect you to read:

  • the notes for Part A by the start of Class 12
  • the notes for Part B by the start of Class 17
  • the notes for Part C by the start of Class 24 (our final class.)

R for Data Science

  • The Work-in-Progress Second Edition of R for Data Science by Hadley Wickham and Garrett Grolemund is freely available at this link. We suggest reading:

  • The “Whole Game” section (almost all of this will be useful early in the course)

  • The “Transform” section (especially sections 12, 18 and 20)

  • The “Communicate” section (especially parts 31, 32 and 34)

TA office hours are held via Zoom, and will begin on Tuesday 2022-09-06.

The schedule of TA Office Hours for this term will be:

Our Shared Google Drive (431 Fall 2022 Dr Love and Students) now contains Zoom links for each of these sessions in a document called TA office hours schedule and Zoom links. No appointment is necessary. Please just drop in.

TA office hours are cancelled from 2022-11-19 through 2022-11-25 for Thanksgiving break.

  • Dr. Love usually arrives 10 minutes before class begins and stays after class ends for students to ask questions. He will hold additional Zoom office hours as needed during the semester.
