Notes to Students after Initial Posting

If there are any changes to the Quiz after it is first posted, those changes will be posted to this page, and you will also be notified via email sent to you by Dr. Love.

  1. On 2026-03-01, to avoid some confusion, I updated the Main Document to ask you to round to two decimal places in all relevant questions. You will not be penalized in any of these questions (which are questions 11, 12 and 14) if you round correctly to either two or three decimal places, so do whatever you prefer.

  1. The Main Document (which is a 41-page pdf) containing the instructions and questions is now posted to our Shared Drive, in the 432 Quiz 1 Materials (due 2026-03-06 at 5 PM) folder.
    • The current version of the Main Document is dated 2026-03-01 10:08 AM on its front page.
  2. The Quiz 1 Answer Form, found at https://bit.ly/432-2026-quiz1-answer-form.
  3. the five data sets we are providing to you for the Quiz to our Shared Drive. Look in the 432 Quiz 1 Materials (due 2026-03-06 at 5 PM) folder, and its data sub-folder for files named:
    • data1.Rds
    • data9.Rds
    • data12.Rds
    • data19.Rds and
    • data20.csv.
  4. The Quiz 1 R Setup Quarto file, called quiz1_settings.qmd, found in the 432 Quiz 1 Materials (due 2026-03-06 at 5 PM) folder in our Shared Drive, and described in the Main Document’s instructions, on page 7.

Deadline

The deadline to complete your work and submit the Quiz 1 Answer Form is Friday, 2026-03-06 at 5 PM. All of your answers must be submitted through the Quiz 1 Answer Form by the deadline, without exception. The form will close 15 minutes after the deadline, so please do not wait until the last moment to submit. We will not accept any responses except through the Answer Form.
